At AFB Dance Academy we have two permanent teachers. The school principal is Annie Bladon. Assisting with the Nursery classes is Miss Sarah. See below to read a little more about us and how we got to where we are today.

In 2015 Annie completed her teacher training with the RAD and was awarded a Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. In July 2016 she attended her graduation ceremony from the RAD at Imperial College in London where she had the pleasure of meeting the president of the RAD, Darcey Bussell.

In September 2016 Annie took on the running of the academy (formerly The Oakley School of Dancing) from her predecessor Annette Oakley.

Sarah-Jane started her dance training with Pauline Moore and Annette Oakley from the age of 6. With them she worked through the dance examinations going on to achieve distinction in her Royal Academy of Dance Grade 8 ballet exam. In 2005, Sarah-Jane furthered her dance training at De Montfort University where she graduated with a degree in Dance and Education.
After leaving University Sarah-Jane enjoyed being a performing member of Anima Dance Company and teaching ballet at The Oakley School of Dance.
